By the Numbers
Our Mission
The HEY Project provides creative, mental-health–informed SEL programming for York County youth — building coping skills, emotional awareness, and lasting connection.
What We Do
Three pillars, one purpose
HEY brings structured SEL workshops into schools and community spaces — so access is never a barrier.
Skill-Building Workshops
Practical SEL tools through creative, supportive sessions — helping participants name emotions, build coping strategies, and strengthen confidence.
Outreach & Access
We bring support into schools and community spaces — so access is never a barrier to feeling seen and equipped.
Growth & Expansion
Expanding awareness, partnerships, and program reach across York County — so more people can take steps toward healing.
What H.E.Y. Means
Helping Empower You.
H.E.Y. stands for Helping Empower You. We create safe, caring spaces where youth and young adults can build coping skills, emotional awareness, and confidence — so they can navigate life with steadiness, hope, and belonging.
Helping
Showing up consistently for the people who need us most.
Empower
Building real skills — not just awareness, but tools they can use.
You
Every person we serve is seen, valued, and met where they are.
In the Classroom
Every session builds real, lasting skills.
Our workshops blend emotional check-ins, skill-building lessons, creative activities, and group reflection — structured so students leave with tools they can actually use.
- Name and understand their emotions
- Practice healthy expression and communication
- Build coping strategies that actually work
- Feel confident and connected to their peers
